A key human capital risk management component that increases in breadth and complexity with each passing year is compliance risk. In this session we’ll focus on benefits and HR compliance risk, and the evolving role of the HR professional in managing this type of risk in an era of unpredictable legislation, complex regulation and exploding litigation.  The goal – to employ a comprehensive and strategically-focused risk management discipline to your organization’s compliance risks.  In this session, we will examine:

  • A new, realistic role of HR professionals with respect to HR and benefits compliance
  • Recognizing, understanding and managing the link between compliance risks and other areas of risk (operational, financial and strategic)
  • Methodologies for human capital compliance risk mapping and risk prioritizing
  • Cost-benefit analysis and decision-making regarding treatment of various exposures
  • Communicating risk treatment decisions to stakeholders
